Time to think about corn detasseling 2020.

Yes, we will be detasseling corn in 2020.

Yes, even with the COVID-19 the corn will still be planted in May and early June. The corn will need to be detasseled in July.

We are still working out details for sign-up times and locations.

Plan to have some sign-up information available by June 5, 2020.

With the "Stay Home, Stay Safe" executive order we can not use the schools for sign-up meetings. We are still working out the details for sign-up times, dates, and locations.

If you want to be well prepared for sign-up time you will need the following information to sign-up for corn detasseling:

Item you will need to sign-up:
     1. Photocopy of Birth Certificate.
     2. Social Security Card (photocopy of both sides).
     3. Photocopy of Student ID or Drivers License (copy of both sides).
     4. Banking information for direct deposit (bank name, bank routing number, and electronic account number).
     5. A passport can be used instead of the Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, and Student ID or Drivers License.
